Christa is a globally respected individual and group facilitator, Social Work and Expressive Arts supervisor and trainer, who holds a Master of Arts in Coaching and Consulting with Expressive Arts (MA, Switzerland), a Bachelor of Social Work (BSW, Canada) and is an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker (AMHSW, Australia). She is a certified instructor of both Pilates and yoga, a Cert IV Trainer and Assessor (Australia), and a multi-certified Reflective Supervisor. As well, she is a storyteller, poet, vocal artist and writer.
Christa blends clinical expertise with a powerful, integrative methodology — weaving evidence based, trauma-informed practice, focused psychological strategies, Neuro-sequential Model of Therapeutics (NMT), expressive arts coaching, body-based mindfulness, creative modalities (art, movement, voice, writing, storytelling, nature), equine psychotherapy principles, and educational kinesiology — all within a grounded social work supervision framework.
For 3 decades Christa has guided thousands of clients and practitioners world-wide to become their ‘best selves' in various settings: urban, rural, government: schools, hospitals, community health, non-government, community development, private practice, and staff training. Her trauma-informed sessions and programs have transformed lives across every stage of human development. From pregnancy, child protection, child and family counselling, to chronic illness and aged care, to cancer and palliative care, to grief and loss/bereavement, Christa designs and delivers compassionate, culturally safe interventions. Christa has a nuanced expertise working respectfully with First Nations and Peoples, developing carer resilience, and facilitating professional skill mastery with emotional intelligence.
Christa is a passionate and inspiring speaker on ‘The Heart, the Art and the Soul of Social Work Supervision™’. As a University Student Academic Advisor, Practicum Supervisor, and Educator at the Bachelor’s and Master’s levels, she has shaped emerging professionals in Social Work at Southern Cross, Griffith, Bond, and Deakin Universities, and advanced interdisciplinary practice in Expressive Arts at the European Graduate School — in Peace Building, Coaching, Consulting, and Therapy.
